Vanessa Osuna is a Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker specializing in serving Hispanic children and families. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies from SJSU and a Master’s degree in Social Work focused on Hispanic children and families from Our Lady of the Lake University. Born in Mexico, she immigrated to the SF Bay Area at age one and was raised there. She is fluent in Spanish.
Vanessa has experience serving diverse populations, including individuals with substance use disorders, co-occurring diagnoses, serious mental illness, and young children in schools. Most recently, she worked as a school-based mental health clinician with students in TK-5th grade. Vanessa supports a broad range of clients, including children, adults, and families.
Her therapeutic approach is warm and collaborative, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as solution-focused, strengths-based, and trauma-focused CBT. In her free time, she enjoys being with her daughter and husband, reading, and traveling.
