Benefits of having a One Life counselor in your school
At One Life Counseling Services, we bring mental health care directly into schools. Our pre-licensed, school based therapists provide individual and group counseling, parent/teacher support & psychoeducation, crisis support, and more—helping students and families feel supported every step of the way.
Having One Life on campus gives schools immediate access to mental health support—helping students manage challenges, build resilience, and thrive, while providing parents and teachers with trusted guidance along the way.

School based counseling
A therapy program dedicated to your school community—locally based, proven, and flexible—offering culturally sensitive services that support and enhance student well-being.
-
One Life Counseling Services brings mental health care into the school day to reduce barriers and increase access for students and families. Our culturally responsive therapists provide counseling, crisis intervention, and collaboration with teachers and caregivers –, helping students receive support in a familiar setting without disrupting their learning or daily routines.
-
At One Life Counseling Services, we know kids need support beyond the school day. That’s why we partner with the Redwood City School District to place caring therapists in after-school programs, giving students ongoing guidance and mental health support in a familiar setting.
-
In the summer, we partner with local Parks and Recreation programs to provide the same supportive services in camps and community activities.
-
One of the groups that some of our schools provide & our multilingual therapists facilitate, are called ‘newcomer groups’. These groups aim to support students who have recently moved to the United States and provide a supportive space for these students to connect, share experiences, and develop coping skills to navigate the challenges of adjusting to a new culture and environment. They also provide psychoeducation, connection to safety net services, and social support to foster resilience and well-being.
