Dawn is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor and holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Palo Alto University. She offers a client-centered, strength-based, trauma-informed approach to therapy, drawing from psychodynamic and attachment-based practices. She is dedicated to fostering a supportive and trusting environment where clients feel empowered to share their story, explore their experiences, and connect with their inner strength as they journey toward healing, growth, and well-being.
Her professional work includes supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate grief, loss, anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, significant life transitions, and health challenges. She honors each person’s unique experience, offering compassionate care rooted in empathy and respect that supports and fosters growth.
Dawn has provided care in community-based nonprofit organizations, working with individuals, groups and families facing complicated grief and traumatic loss. Her school-based work is committed to supporting students social-emotional development through integrated research-informed approaches grounded in empathy, attunement, and through a student-centered lens. From a strength-based perspective, she supports individuals in navigating academic pressures and personal challenges while fostering positive self-talk, healthy coping strategies, and the skills to work toward their unique goals.
Before entering the mental health field, Dawn held professional roles in marketing and illustration. She brings a creative perspective to her work, incorporating expressive arts, mindfulness, and play therapy into sessions.
