Life can sometimes be tough, and the feeling of being all alone with an issue is much more common than we think. Sandra approaches situations with an open mind and acceptance when working with all clients and she provides support from a place of genuine concern and curiosity to help the client feel heard and, together, find a way to a better life.
Sandra received her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University and is passionate about supporting all individuals, particularly adolescents, families, and couples. She has a multicultural background and international experiences that have equipped her with a unique perspective and adaptability in diverse settings.
As a mother to three adolescent daughters, she has more than 10 years of experience providing support in the community to parents and adolescents managing challenges with bullying, sexual orientation, parent-child relationships, behavioral struggles, and much more.
For the past two decades, Sandra has had extensive corporate experience supporting hundreds of staff members through difficult situations, both personal and professional; providing her with a deep understanding of how to deal with the stress of work and its impact on one's life. Additionally, Sandra has been active in philanthropy for the past seven years and has led programs for teenage girls and mothers.
Through the years, Sandra's approach to supporting people focuses on creating strong relationships through a warm and nonjudgemental approach. This was especially crucial when working with troubled middle schoolers experiencing anything from anxiety and bullying to homelessness and sexual abuse.
