Hello! My name is Reynalda Retana Alarcon, and I am a bilingual Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from San Jose State University and my Master of Social Work from California State University, East Bay. I also hold a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Social Work (PPSC-SSW), with credential preparation completed through Cal Poly Humboldt.
I have experience supporting children, adolescents, and families in school-based, early childhood, and community mental health settings. My approach is warm, collaborative, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. I am passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate anxiety, stress, emotional regulation, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, and difficult life transitions.
I strive to create a safe and welcoming space where clients and families feel heard, respected, and supported. As a bilingual clinician, I value building collaborative relationships with clients and caregivers and providing services in both English and Spanish. ¡Hola!
