Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
AMFT #165008, Exp. 8/31/2027Your story matters here.
Therapy grounded in dignity, justice, and cultural responsiveness.
Anna Lee is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a PhD in Political and Social Sciences and more than 15 years of experience exploring how people find meaning, healing, connection, and belonging. Her clinical work brings together relational depth, cultural responsiveness, and an understanding of how our personal stories are shaped by families, relationships, identities, and the larger systems in which we live.
Originally from Mexico, Anna Lee brings a multicultural and multilingual perspective to therapy and provides services in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Her approach is collaborative, direct, and depth-oriented, creating an inclusive space where individuals, couples, and families can explore emotional patterns, strengthen relationships, and move toward intentional change.
Anna Lee works from a relational and integrative perspective, drawing from attachment and family systems approaches, narrative and expressive arts therapy, DBT and CBT-informed interventions, mindfulness, and sex-positive frameworks. Her work focuses on deepening emotional clarity, improving communication, developing emotional regulation and cognitive flexibility, and understanding the stories and relational patterns that influence how we connect with ourselves and others.
Her practice is affirming of LGBTQIA+ identities, neurodivergence, open relationships, polyamory, and other forms of ethical non-monogamy. In her work with diverse relationship structures, Anna supports clients in exploring communication, consent, integrity, boundaries, and relational alignment without privileging one model of partnership over another.
Her professional background also includes trauma-informed individual therapy, bilingual school-based counseling, community-based programs, research, university teaching, journalism, and arts-based interventions.
Hi, I’m Anna Lee. I believe the stories we inherit—and the stories we learn to tell ourselves—shape how we love, connect, and understand our place in the world. Therapy offers a space to examine those stories with curiosity, recognize what continues to serve you, and reshape what no longer feels true.
Own your story. Strengthen your relationships. Start with intention.
