Hana Whizin

School-Based Director

Hana Whizin is our School Based Director. She holds a B.S. in both Child & Family Development and Spanish from San Diego State University and an MSW from Boston College. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working with children, teens, adults, teachers, and parents across a variety of settings.

Hana stepped into the role of School Based Director at One Life in 2023 and is a valued member of the leadership team. She oversees our partnerships with local school districts and supports our pre-licensed therapists working in schools—helping them navigate site relationships, understand systems, and find balance in their roles. Hana is passionate about building thoughtful structures that set our school-based program up for success and helping therapists feel grounded in the administrative side of their work.

Hana lives in Santa Cruz with her partner and their two dogs. She enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, playing beach volleyball, and exploring new places. Her love of travel and curiosity about people and culture was sparked by her time in the Peace Corps in Mongolia, and continues to shape how she connects with the world around her.
