I work with clients with a range of needs including adjustment to life transitions, career difficulties, depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief and loss, substance abuse disorders, other addictive behaviors, relationship problems, and career exploration. I believe that empathy and a fundamental understanding of our common humanity are important to the therapeutic relationship and thus to my clients’ healing. I employ a combination of psychodynamic approaches and modern scientific evidence to help my clients free themselves from their life struggles.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics, a Juris Doctor degree, and a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology. I have been an attorney working in the fields of child welfare, mental health, and family and community violence for a number of years. I have also co-authored a psychology textbook on the subject of early life and intergenerational trauma and its impact on human behavior and experience.
