Marriage & Family Therapist Trainee, Professional Clinical Counselor Trainee
My name is Georgia Tsigaris, and I am currently completing my practicum as part of the Master’s program in Clinical Psychology at Notre Dame de Namur University. I am working toward licensure in both Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling. This fall, I will also be working with students through the Sequoia Union High School District. I am excited to get to know and support both young people and adults as they navigate their unique journeys.
Before joining One Life Counseling Center, I spent time teaching at San José State University and, more recently, worked as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) in an inpatient treatment facility.
Over the past year, I have also received training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy through The Psychotherapy Institute. My areas of interest include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Jungian Psychotherapy, among others.
It has been an honor to support young people and adults in the roles of teacher, counselor, and therapist. I look forward to continuing to walk alongside clients as they work toward healing, personal growth, and creating lives that feel meaningful and fulfilling.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, traveling, hiking, and, of course, cuddling with my cats.
