Michelle Stulbarg
Chief Operating Officer
Michelle Stulbarg has lived in San Mateo County her entire life and has spent decades leading organizations rooted in care, connection, and community impact. She and her husband are proud parents of three grown children, and her work has always centered on building strong relationships and systems that support people.
Michelle began her career as an elementary school teacher, developing a strong foundation in communication, mentorship, and leadership. She later became deeply involved in nonprofit and community leadership, founding the National Charity League Edgewood Chapter and serving as its founding board president. She also held leadership roles across local school communities, serving as president at the elementary, middle school, and district levels within the Belmont Redwood Shores School District.
As Chief Operating Officer at One Life Counseling Center, Michelle has helped guide the organization through significant growth, expanding from approximately 30 team members to more than 160 across multiple locations. She oversees operations, human resources, development, and internal systems, with a focus on building clear processes, strengthening infrastructure, and supporting the organization’s long-term sustainability. She is known for bringing calm, clarity, and care to her work.
Michelle is a lifelong learner who brings a practical, people-centered approach to her work. In addition to her certifications in Executive Human Resources Management and Stanford’s Executive Program for Nonprofit Leadership, she earned her Master Life Coach certification, strengthening her ability to listen deeply, navigate complex conversations, and guide individuals and teams through change with clarity and steadiness. She is currently a member of the San Mateo County Leadership CORPS (2025–2026), continuing her commitment to local leadership and community engagement.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dog, traveling, and staying connected to the community she calls home. ❤️
