Interim Clinical Operations and Programs Director

Jennifer Martinez is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and serves as the Interim Clinical Operations & Program Director overseeing clinical services and community based programs. Jennifer brings impact by strengthening structures that help therapists deliver high-quality, culturally responsive care, streamlining processes that enhance efficiency, and fostering partnerships that expand One Life’s reach and deepen its impact across San Mateo County.

Jennifer earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Child and Adolescent Development, from San José State University.

In her clinical practice, Jennifer integrates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) within a psychodynamic framework to help clients explore the connections between their past, present, and future experiences. She has extensive experience working with adults, teens, couples, and parent-child groups, supporting clients in areas such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, communication, emotional regulation, and relationship dynamics. She has also worked in both school and hospital settings, providing collaborative and interdisciplinary care to meet the complex needs of diverse populations.

As a bilingual therapist fluent in Spanish, Jennifer has experience providing culturally responsive and trauma-informed care within the Latino(a) community. Her clinical work focuses on addressing intergenerational trauma, acculturative stress, and barriers to mental health access while promoting resilience and family systems healing.

Outside of her professional work, Jennifer enjoys walking her three dogs and spending time with her husband, family, and friends.
